The history of Riva boats began in 1842 when Pietro Riva, a young professional in the repair and construction of various boats, founded one of the first shipyards on Lake Iseo, destined to have enormous success in the decades to come. His son Ernesto, with the introduction of the internal combustion engine on Riva boats, began to make the company known to the Sebini people, thanks to the first tourist trips on the lake and around the shipyard. But it was Serafino, Ernesto’s successor, who transformed these high-quality boats into a real brand: since the 1950s, numerous famous people have shown off Riva boats and been photographed at the helm of this vessel, bringing it to international fame.

Finally, the Aquarama Special was built as an evolution of the original model.
The transom was angled, giving the hull a more streamlined and elegant profile.
At the end of 1963, Riva introduced the Super Aquarama, the version with the most powerful and high-performance engines of all the series.
Built in 1962, the first Riva Aquarama model quickly became an icon of luxury boating. It is the symbol of Italian elegance and the “Dolce Vita”.
This series introduced a slightly longer hull with an improved “V” hull shape, allowing for smoother and more steady navigation.
The Super Ariston model is the evolution of the Ariston, designed to offer superior performance and an even more refined design. The cockpit seating was designed, when the boat was stationary, as a single sunbed to accommodate four people.
Produced from 1950 to 1966, the Riva Ariston was designed by Engineer Carlo Riva, who soon realized he had created a motorboat with incomparable features.
He took great pride in calling it the true motorboat, a thoroughbred with incomparable lines.
From 1966 to 1968, the 2nd series was introduced with an improved “V” hull shape. Switching between Chris Craft 185 HP engines and Riva Crusader 220 HP engines, this series offered enhanced performance.
Produced from 1968 to 1974, the lines and length of the Riva Ariston were modified, giving the bow a more streamlined shape and deepening the “V” hull.
Produced from 1959 to 1969, the Super Florida model is the evolution of the Florida.
Its length increased by approximately 35 cm, and the sunbathing cockpit became larger.
Produced from 1952 to 1969, the Riva Florida featured a hull inspired from the Riva Sebino. It was named after the American state known for its warm, tropical climate and was used for short coastal trips and day excursions.
Produced from 1966 to 1971. During those years, the necessity became clear to design a small Riva suitable for young people, with a relatively lower price compared to other models, and designed for water skiing.
The Riva Sebino model marks a turning point in the history of the Riva shipyard, representing the first mass-produced model and laying the foundation for the iconic tradition of elegance and quality that would define the subsequent boats.
The first Tritone models were built in the early 1950s, with production ending in 1966. It was Riva’s first twin-engine model, measuring approximately 8 meters in length and featuring a total installed power of up to 600 HP.
Presented in 1968 during the Mexico City Olympics, the Riva Olympic model is a motorboat that embodies the perfect balance between sportiness and comfort. This model features a deep “V” hull and is equipped with Riva Crusader 220 and 270 HP engines, delivering high performance at sustained speeds.
