This is the first application of this technologyin the yachting sector.
Bellini Yacht and Arianee, the French company behind the leading Digital Product Passport (DPP) solution for durable goods, announce a partnership for the development of a digital product passport based on the Arianee protocol for Astor 36 and Astor 58, the two Bellini Yacht models currently on the market. Powered by blockchain technology and open-source foundations, these digital passports will enhance transparency by tracking all lifecycle events of the vessels, recorded over time by certified stakeholders, and will enrich the customer experience by unlocking post-sale services for all subsequent owners.
In anticipation of upcoming European regulations, this marks the first application in the yachting sector of the digital solution introduced by the European Union to provide a detailed overview of a product’s sustainability throughout its entire production process.
The DPP, which can be activated via a QR code on a card provided at delivery, will guarantee customers key information on the traceability, authenticity, and quality throughout the entire supply chain of their yacht, offering details and functionalities such as:
- a digital version of the certificate of authenticity and ownership of the vessel;
- an immutable product lifecycle history, fully tracked thanks to the ability for authorized parties to directly record key events in the DPP, such as maintenance, repairs, or customizations;
- comprehensive information on the production process, from raw material sourcing to the finished product;
- a complete record of ownership transfers, allowing for continuous connection between the Brand and subsequent owners and access to personalized post-sale services;
- invitations to exclusive events and previews of future Bellini Yacht models
“Today, with this solution, we are redefining the concept of ownership in the yachting world,” says Battista Bellini, CEO of Bellini Group. “With our digital passport, each yacht tells its story, certifies its authenticity, documents the craftsmanship and sustainability of the materials used, and guarantees the quality of the production processes. Everything is tracked and verifiable in real time, thanks to the power of blockchain technology. This tool is much more than a guarantee: it is an act of transparency, a commitment to our clients in view of upcoming European regulations. With just one click, our owners will be able to confirm the ownership of their yacht, consult its history, or transfer ownership in a simple, secure, and certified way.”
“We are proud to partner with Bellini Yacht to bring the power of digital product passports to the yachting sector,” says Pierre-Nicolas Hurstel, CEO and co-founder of Arianee. “This partnership is a natural extension of our mission to provide brands with the tools to build lasting and trusted relationships with their clients, through transparency, traceability, and enriched experiences. Launching DPPs in this sector not only strengthens the value of the Arianee protocol, but also demonstrates the growing importance of sustainability and trust in the world of luxury mobility.”
In the long term, Bellini Yacht aims to equip its entire fleet with digital product passports.
